Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh is a year round tourist destination which enjoys moderate climate but the best time to visit Araku Valley is in winter months between October and February. The weather at this time of the year is very pleasant with balmy day time temperatures reaching up to 25 degree Celsius and cooler nights with temperatures hovering above the 8 to 10 degree Celsius mark. In April 'pongal' is celebrated by the tribals of Araku as a hunting festival when all the men folk go out hunting and return home with their spoils to feast and dance.
